FAST FACTS: TITANIUM

In 1795, a German Chemist by the name of Martin Heinrich Klaproth discovered and named, what is known today as Titanium; deriving from the word Titans meaning the first sons of the earth. Titanium's ability to withstand harsh environments whilst maintaining relative light weight and strength make it technically superior and suitably utilised in industries such as: aerospace, medical, dental and military applications. Further attributes include:

Titanium is as strong as steel however it remains approximately 45% lighter.

Titanium has 35% more elasticity than steel

Titanium has an extremely high melting point at 1800 degrees Celsius.

Titanium maintains strong resistance corrosive elements such as: salt water, perspiration and acids.

If titanium was an angry drunk, I would not want to bump into him in a dark ally, that is for certain!
